About Me

Welcome...I begin my 28th year as an educator, 15th year at HCISD, and 9th year at Harlingen Collegiate High School. I have had the honor of previously being named Teacher of the Year and Teacher of the Month in my tenure here at HCH.  I share that honor with all our teachers, because I believe all teachers deserve recognition and praise for their dedication and the tremendous responsibility they have of providing both academic and moral education to our students. "One's HEART must be poured into the classroom every day, along with one's expertise." 

I have taught previously in  two Blue Ribbon School districts including the Klein School District in (Spring, Texas) as well as the Homewood-Flossmoor School District in (Chicago, Illinois.) 

Although I am not a native of Texas, I graduated from Harlingen High School and received my Bachelors Degree in Business Marketing from the University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley. I received my Masters Degree in Teaching at Olivet Nazarene University in Chicago.

I am married to my high school Sweetheart and have three adult children, one of which graduated from Harlingen Collegiate High School, two grandchildren, and 3 dogs!
