About Mrs. Pemelton

Hello Everyone!

My name is Mrs. Alexis Pemelton and I am the Harlingen Collegiate High College and Career Advisor! In addition to being the College and Career Advisor, I am also the TSI coordinator for our Freshmen and Sophomores. I am here to help students with anything college, career, or military-related.

 

A little bit about myself: I grew up in the Texas Hill Country and after graduating from high school I attended Texas A&M University in College Station to pursue my bachelor's degree. Upon graduation, I was employed by Texas A&M through a program called Advise TX. Through that program, I had the opportunity to serve high school students in the Rio Grande Valley, more specifically Harlingen, to gain better access to the college and career resources they were lacking simply due to their demographics and socioeconomic status. 

 

It was through my service in Advise TX that I truly found my passion to help students understand and realize the abundance of opportunities that are out there and available to them. This passion is the reason I decided to continue my education and received my MEd in Student Development and Leadership with a Certification in Academic Advising from Angelo State University.

 

When this position at HCH, formerly ECHS, opened up I knew it was a higher power pushing me in the right direction and I am so blessed to have been given the chance to continue to work in this incredible district! May the years to come be the best ones yet! #GoOwls #HCH #WeAreHCISD
